Building Ramp Assist/Address updated

Update
I woke up this morning and it was 66degrees in the house even though the furnace was set at 70 degrees. Thermostat stage 1 fan  I have Millers Plumbing from Mexico, MO. coming by at 9:30 -10 AM to work on the Geo Thermal unit  tomorrow and he wants me here. I'm changing the date to work on the deck/ramp for Les Rouse at 261 Country Trails Road to Wednesday 21 February to start about 9 AM.
William Arehart is in room 3256 at Mercy hospital for anyone who Plans on visiting him. He said the Afib wasn't caused by covid but will do an ultrasound on his heart to make sure there are no issues.
He has to do a sleep study once he's released from the hospital.
Thank You in advance for prayers as needed and any and all help.

The address is 261 Country Trails Road Conway, MO

John Tieskotter sent this earlier today. If you can help, please do. Les has been battling cancer and now this he definitely needs are prayers and help. Thank you to everyone in advance. If you have any questions reach out to John or Russell.

Russell Rouse contacted me yesterday and asked for my expertise in building a 5' X 5' Deck and wheelchair ramp for his brother who is still in the hospital in Springfield with Guillain-Barre syndrome. Hospital is trying to treat the condition but there is no cure.
I'm going over Les trailer tomorrow with Russell to get the dimensions I need to determine amount of materials we'll need We're hoping to get to build the deck/ramp this week after Russell picks up the materials we need. If any Knight has some time we would appreciate any and all help in building the deck/ramp. I'm hoping to work on it Tuesday after I do my physical therapy for my knee from 8:30 - 9:30 probably around 10:00 on Tuesday 20 February.. Thank you in advance.

Fake Abortion Petition

District Deputy Kandlbinder, sent this email out today.

Brother Knights. Please share this email with your councils, parishes, and families.

This weekend is the Sertoma Chilli cook off and the pro-abortion people could possibly be standing on the street near the entrance to the Expo center at 635 East St. Louis Street tomorrow from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm.
They will be soliciting signatures for what they will be calling women's health care and protection.
What their intentions are is to get the right to abortion on the ballot here in Missouri and by getting signatures tomorrow by a false statement, they will succeed in their mission.
That's where we come in. We need to be there tomorrow to hold signs up saying decline to sign and stand up for Pro-Life.
The suggestion is going in groups of two's at least. If you can hang out for 30 minutes or an hour, this would be very helpful. If you can not help, please pray the Rosary for the right to life.
Please respond back if you are willing to help out so our ProLife director,  Rocky Gambon, knows how many to expect.
Thank you and pray for Life.

Brothers, Deacon Mike contacted me tonight because Pat Ballew, has been admitted to the hospital in Lebanon. Those of you who may not know Pat, she has been a member of Holy Trinity for many years, she also has a great sense of humor. She has had some health issues the past few years and has been unable to attend Mass in person.  Her daughter Theresa is a member of Holy Trinity as well and has asked for us and any other groups to please pray for Pat.

Prayer for the Sick and Seniors

All praise and glory are yours, Lord our God.
For you have called us to serve you and one another in love. Bless Pat who is sick so that she may bear her illness in union with Jesus' sufferings and restore her quickly
to health.
Bless those ,who like Pat, have grown old in your service and give them courage and strength in their faith.
Lead us all to eternal glory.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Your Son, who lives and reigns with you
and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen.

Mother of Perpetual Help pray for us.

Pray Three Hail Marys.

KOC Council Events this weekend.....

From Gary:

Brothers,

Our free throw contest is quickly approaching.  I have sent flyers to Marshfield, Conway, and Niangua schools.  Also, I have placed flyers on the window of the parish hall.  Bob Schultheis placed the flyer in the bulletin, too.  I sent a flyer to Russell Rouse, last week, in hopes he would pass it along to whomever puts Sacred Heart's bulletin together. As for a turnout from the public for this event, that will be anybody's guess.  I have checked the weather for Saturday and they are predicting rain (at least it is not snow or sleet)  Here is what we will need from our brother Knights:

There will be two tables upon entering the gym for registration. So, a total of 4 people at the registration tables ( 2 Knights or volunteers per table)

We will be shooting at two goals.  At each goal there should be at least 3 people: 1 to rebound  1 to record the shots  1 to watch the line in case someone steps over

So, this will take a minimum of 6 people total for both goals.   Also, we need someone with good penmanship to fill out certificates.

I have purchased basketballs for this event and trophies for the 1st place winners.  2nd and 3rd place will receive a DQ gift card.  I took this format from Paul Sullivan who is the free throw coordinator at SEAS church.  They are having their event on the same day.

We will need the Knights to be at Shook Elementary by 8:30 a.m.   Our free throw event runs from 9:00 a.m.--1:00 p.m.

If you could pass this information along to our brothers, I would appreciate it.  If you see that I have forgotten any information, please add or notify me.

Thank you and be safe,

YBiC,

Gary

Hello,

I was just informed by Darrell that the upcoming fraternal benefit night on Jan 30 will not count towards our Star Council.  It is still good information if you want to attend.

Thanks,

Michael

The FBN that is scheduled for January 30th will NOT count towards the requirements for the council for Founders Award. I am sorry for the confusion this has caused you and those we have told.

I tried to get Supreme to respond to me last week prior to the DD meeting, but those I shared the email with passed on to others and just today I received a response,

Sorry as this doesn’t look good, I would let the councils go forward with the presentation as it will be good information. They will not have a survey to take.

You can tell those that ask that there wasn’t a survey with this presentation,

Darrell

Prayer Request

Brothers,

John Tieskotter reached out to me last night and told me his sister Reta and sister-in-law Karen are both in need of prayers. Reta is the sister that received a heart valve not long ago, she now had RSV and is going to need another heart surgery to work on another valve. Karen fell and hurt her leg/ hip and is having to go through physical therapy.

I would also kindly ask that you pray for my wife Brittany as she has Covid again and has been having a bit of a hard time.

A Prayer for Healing and Hope

Most Merciful and Powerful God,
We come to You in our weakness.
We come to You in our fear.
We come to You with trust.
For You alone are our hope.

We place before You the diseases present in our world.
We turn to You in our time of need.

Bring wisdom to doctors.
Give understanding to scientists.
Endow caregivers with compassion and generosity.
Bring healing to those who are ill.
Protect those who are most at risk.
Give comfort to those who have lost a loved one.
Welcome those who have passed into Your Eternal Home.

Stabilize our communities.
Unite us in our compassion.
Remove all fear from our hearts.
Fill us with confidence in Your care.

For the healing and wellness of Reta, Karen, Brittany, and all those afflicted with illness and injuries.

Jesus, I trust in You.

Amen.

New Fraternal Benefit Event (U.S. Only) Tuesday, January 30, 2024 7:00 PM EST

Daniel J. Poirier, MSgt, USAFR (ret)

A veteran – whether Active Duty, Retired, National Guard, or Reserve… is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount of “up to and including my life”.

That is an Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. !!
