Prayers

Brothers I recieved the email below from Tim today.

"I am asking prayers for my brother who has recently been moved to Comfort Care which is the last stage of hospice."

Brothers let us lift up our prayers up to the Lord for Tim's brother and thier whole family.

Father, your Son accepted our sufferings
to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness.
Hear the prayers we offer for our sick brothers and sisters. May all who suffer pain, illness or disease realise that they have been chosen to be saints and know that they are joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayers

Thank you everyone for your prayers. Angela has 2 sisters in Springfield. Karilyn is the one that has organ failure and will need to be in a care facility. Adele, her twin sister is the one that had multiple cancer surgeries and has a daughter that has Angelmans syndrome. She needs prayers for a home health care provider.

Russell Rouse

Brothers, our brother Russell Rouse had his hip surgery yesterday. John Tieskotter messaged me to let me know that he was out of surgery and had a weird feeling moving his feet afterward.  All of us who have talked to Russell in the past year know how much pain he has been in, please pray for a speedy and complete recovery.

Heavenly Father, Divine Physician of our souls and bodies,
I thank You that this surgery is safely past. I place Russell Rouse completely into Your loving care during this time of recovery. Please lay Your healing hands upon him, relieve his pain, and grant him patience and strength as his body mends.
Lord Jesus, look with compassion on this Brother Knight, who has dedicated his life to the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity. Grant that the restorative power of Your Spirit may flow through him, removing all anxiety and replacing it with Your peace.
We humbly ask for the powerful intercession of Blessed Michael McGivney. Under his protection, may the love and healing power of our Heavenly Father be with Brother Russell and restore him swiftly to good health and his community.
We offer this prayer for his complete physical, mental, and spiritual restoration, for the greater glory of God.
Amen.

Prayers needed

Brothers I received word of a couple of people that need our prayers.
First our brother, Mike Traiteur, told me his grandson had surgery the other day and looked to be doing well but then ended up back in the hospital with an infection and fever. He is showing improvement but still needs our prayers. Mike's grandson is going into 4 grade, the same as my youngest daughter.

Howard messaged me today and asked with all the successful prayers that we have had for his parents and himself, could we please "lift and shift them" to pray for Angela Arterberry and her sister. Her sister has multiple forms of cancer and she is so weak that she's going to need to move to a nursing home. She has a daughter in her thirties that is severely mentally disabled as well.

Brothers, when we unit in prayer it is powerful.

Immaculate Mother of God, Our Lady of Lourdes, you chose to appear in a desolate grotto to a simple child. We come to you with boundless confidence to implore your intercession. Look upon us with your merciful eyes, especially upon those who are ill. Obtain for them the healing and relief that we seek, and above all, grant us the strength to accept God’s perfect will. Amen.

  • Reached out to the new Catholic men that were brought in during the Easter Vigil. Most have expressed the want to be a Knight.

In this Deacon Fritz calls out 5 reasons why we should be Catholic. We as Knights need to be able to defend our faith and to have enlightened conversations when we are asked about our faith. I will attach the article below.
