Happy Easter to you and your families.

Happy Easter to you and your families.

Brothers, I want to thank you all for an awesome Lenten season. Our fish fries went great, they were smooth thanks to the great turnout of help that we had. Thank you to the men that made sure we had everything we needed and had everything ready to go on Fridays.  A big thanks to Rose Ann and Pat for their help on the line and to all the ladies that helped with desserts. We had one youth that showed up and helped, hopefully he will soon be a great addition to our council. The final fish fry was fantastic, the dessert auction raised good money for St. Vincent Depaul, and the Bishop commented on how good of an idea it was. I also want to comment on how many of you did stations of the cross, it was great to see and hear about how many of you attended the stations. Not only did you show up on the nights of our fish fries but on the soup nights as well,  thank you for showing support to the ladies.

We had a Fifth Sunday last month, which just happened to be Palm Sunday, thank you to everyone that helped fill the ministries. Thank you to everyone that took a time slot for Adoration on Holy Thursday. This week has been truly special for me, I believe this is the first time that I have been able to attend all the Masses and service from Holy Thursday to Easter Sunday. I went to Sacred Heart in Conway for Adoration on Thursday. It was beautiful how they had their hall setup. Next year I would love for a group of us to spend time in Adoration in Conway as well.

Update on Russell, he is very grateful for all the prayers and those who have reached out to him. He was unable to have his hip surgery on the 2nd. The doctors were afraid that he may have an infection so they gave him some medication and rescheduled the surgery for April 27. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

Pray for John Tieskotter's wife Carmelita as her Aunt has passed away. May the Lord grant peace and comfort to Carmelita and her family in this time of grieving and sorrow.

The month of April is also the Knights month to serve our coffee and snacks at Holy Trinity. If you can spare some time one Sunday to help serve our parish family it would be appreciated.

We also have our April Monthly meeting coming up on the 14th.

Thank you everyone for all that you do.

Prayers for the Troy Trujillo

Brothers, Troy and his family are in need of prayers. Troy had to have emergency surgery on his intestines. He may have to be in the hospital for up to a week. Please for Troy and his family, for peace and healing. When I find out more info I will pass it on to you. When he is up for having visitors I will let you know that as well.

Healing Prayer for a Sick Brother Knight
Heavenly Father,
the Divine Physician and source of all life,
we humbly come before You in faith and brotherhood.
We lift up to You our brother Knight
who is now burdened by illness and weakness.
Lay Your healing hand upon him, O Lord.
Restore his strength, renew his body,
and grant him peace of mind and heart.
Lord Jesus, You walked among the sick
and healed them with compassion and love.
Be close to our brother in his suffering.
Ease his pain, calm his fears,
and fill him with hope and trust in Your mercy.
Send forth Your Holy Spirit
to guide the doctors, nurses, and caregivers,
that they may be instruments of Your healing grace.
Through the intercession of
Blessed Michael McGivney,
founder of the Knights of Columbus,
may our brother feel the support of our fraternity
and the comfort of Your abiding presence.
Grant strength also to his family and loved ones.
May they find courage, patience, and peace
as they accompany him through this time.
We entrust everything to You, Lord,
for You are our refuge and our healer.
May Your holy will be done in all things.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Brothers, tomorrow is Russell's hip replacement surgery, please keep him in your prayers. I will let everyone know how he is doing when I hear something.

Father, we place Russell completely in Your loving care as he prepares for surgery. Calm his fears and strengthen his faith. Guide the hands of his surgeons and medical team, granting them skill and wisdom. Bless this procedure with success and grant him a smooth recovery. May Your healing peace rest upon him, and may he rise from this time restored in body and spirit. Amen.

Brother's tomorrow is also Holy Thursday and there is adoration after Mass. I still don't have anyone for 11pm to 12am tomorrow night. If you can cover this time or a part of it, please let me know.

last Lenten Fish Fry

Brothers, tomorrow night is our last fish fry of the Lenten season. We will need a lot of  help, I believe this will be a very busy night. I plan to get there at 2pm to start getting things ready.

Bishop Rice has accepted our invitation and will be coming to the fish fry. He will be sticking around for Stations of the Cross, it is my understanding he will lead them.

St. Vincent DePaul will also be having thier dessert auction, so if you are a baker or if your wife is a baker please make something to sell. If you both bake bragging rights goes to the one that sells for the most.

Please keep John Tieskotter and family in your prayers. He will not be at the fish fry as he is in Iowa for his sister's funeral.

Death of John Tieskotter's Sister, prayers are requested

New Hampton, Iowa

Brothers, John Tieskotter contacted me the other day to let me know that his sister Edna Stiefel had passed away unexpectedly. The family is not sure exactly as to how she passed but they believe it was related to her diabetes.  Edna was John's younger sister she was 73 and would have been 74 on March 30. She lived in Hampton, Iowa so John and Carm will be traveling there, possible the end of this week. Please pray for the repose of the soul of Edna and keep her family and John in your prayers. Please pray for a safe trip for all that will be traveling to Iowa for the funeral.

May the love of God and the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ
bless and console her family
and gently wipe every tear from their eyes:
in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

Stations of the Cross tonight

Brothers, we are to lead the Stations of the Cross tonight at Holy Trinity if our Knights in Conway can lead there to that would be awesome. I would like to have a few Knights that are willing to lead, take turns doing so. Mike had to go out of town on business this week so he will not be there and I am fighting a sinus infection. I will be, but with fighting this off I want to keep my distance just to be safe. I would still like for many of the Knights to go to soup and support the PCCW.  They are really good to us between support at the fish fries, the funeral dinners, and any other event that there is, they are always involved with making them a success.

We also have our monthly meeting coming up this Tuesday March 10.  I look forward to seeing you all there.

Our second Lenten fish fry is next Friday night, make sure to come.  You can make it early great, you can't make it till later fantastic, you can only stay for half an hour wonderful, you can be there and help the whole night amazing. It doesn't matter if you can do a lot or just a little, when you join your brothers in these activities you make our council stronger and better. We had a great turn out at the last fish fry and I want to thank everyone that was involved. I am not going to name people because I will forget someone but all of you made the fish fry a huge success.

See you tonight.

Stations of the Cross

Brothers, I spoke with Mike Weigand this last Sunday and we would like for the Knights to lead Stations this upcoming Friday. Soup starts at 6pm with Stations at 7pm. Please come and support the ladies that support us.  Lets pack the church full of Knights for Stations.

I also want you say thank you to everyone that came out and  made the fish fry a great success. We had such great help come out it was awesome.

Russell Rouse called me the other day and asked if we were going to do 40 cans for Lent. I believe this is a great initiative and one that helps our communities. Father Jobi is on board with it so this weekend I will get the barrels out for Holy Trinity and Russell will start collecting out in Conway.
