October Council Meeting 2026

Brothers tonight we have our monthly meeting at 7PM. 

Come early for Confession and Adoration at 5PM with Mass starting at 6PM. 

We will start the meeting with a special guest who will be presenting Chuck with a Quilt of Valor. Once this is complete which should only take a few mins and then we will start our regular monthly meeting. These events normally take place in Springfield but with the health issues that Robin has been battling, I gave the approval to do it at the beginning of our meeting so Robin can be present for it. Everyone try to be a few minutes early tonight so we can start on time. Dave will have more information on how to receive a quilt, if you are a veteran and would like your own.

Grand Knight Report:

- This is a very busy month, thank you all for what you do. Please continue to help where you

can and don’t forget that October is dedicated to the Rosary.

- John Tieskotter has officially retired from building any more ramps or decks. However, if a

Knight needs a deck or ramp, he says he will help. “Not to tell you what to do or anything”

- Father would like for some of the adults to dress up like a Saint for All Saints’ Day. He has

asked the Knight and PCCW to participate along with the youth. He feels that if adults

participate it will help encourage the youth to participate as well.

- Coats for Kids Update – Chapter Meeting

Director reports: Membership report, Community Director, Advocate, Family Director, Worthy Treasurer on

the PCCW Craft Fair, District Deputy, and Insurance Agent report will be given if present.

OLD Business:

 Hats and Shirts, see John T. for Hoodies and t-shirts see Gary Gray.

 Jerry Nehl Kitchen sign. I will meet with Father and Bob soon to come up with a plan.

 Once the ASAP 400 comes back donate $1500 to Choices.

 $400 is set aside for the Devine Mercy signs. Where are we with getting those.

 Donation to Northern Alaska / Fairbanks Diocese.

 Let’s go ahead and get the books for Christmas ordered.

New Business

The Chamber of Commerce is looking for donations of $50 OR $100 for the Breakfast with

Santa event. The donation would go to help purchase small gifts for kids.

 Saturday October 17 th Rosary on the Square we need Knights to lead the Rosary. It is the

same as in years past, we will need 5 Knights to lead, there will be print outs to go off of.

 We need to pay the Food Pantry for the fries and preapproved money.

 Discussion on the name of our Council, Trinity Council.

 TLC Fish Fry payment.

Brothers, we have our monthly meeting coming up this week on Tuesday 10/13 at 7PM. Adoration and Confession start at 5PM with Mass to follow at 6PM. We have had a busy month, and a few more activities to go before the end of the month.  I hope everyone will join us for a good night as we look toward the year end and what fun activities we are a part of. 

I have attached the Minutes from last month. Please review them ahead of the meeting as we will be forgoing the reading of the minutes.

Oct Council Monthly meeting Reminders

 Brothers, we have our monthly meeting coming up in one week on October 13th. Adoration and Confession will start at 5 PM, with Mass following at 6 PM. The Knights will begin at 7 PM. Please make sure to be there. 

Also there are a few extra things happening this weekend before the meeting. Tootsie Roll Drive is taking place this weekend and I am needing more men to help fill time slots. I will be sending the update list out again please sign up. 

The other item is on Sunday after 10:30 Mass we have a Rosary in the Garden at Holy Trinity. Please come and pray with Father and the rest of the Parish family. October 7th was the Feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary and the month of October is dedicated to the Rosary. What better way to honor that than to pray it with friends and family around our beautiful prayer garden.

Passing of Daughter of Jack Cosby

I want to inform you that Leona Bellingroehr the daughter of our deceased brother ,Jack Cosby, passed away this past week. She was 62 years old, her husband, Glenn, passed away last November. Leona and Glenn were regulars at our fish fries and and benefit auctions.

Visitation is today at Fraker Funeral Home from 3pm to 5pm. The funeral services will be Monday at the Cowboy Church at 10am. 

Please pray for her soul and for the whole family.

Sept Fish Fry

 

Brothers tonight is our first fish fry of fall. It is also the one for TLC as well as we will be giving free meals to active and former military members. TLC will be handling the desserts so we don't need to bring one tonight. I will be there around one to start prepping for tonight. 

Please come and help this is going to be a busy night and all the help we can get is appreciated. If you can't be there at the beginning thats fine and if you cant stay long thats ok too.

 Let's all come together, build each other up, make our council stronger, and our community better.  See you tonight.

Funeral for an Unclaimed Veteran

Prayers for Robin Adams

 

Brothers, I messaged Chuck yesterday and he let me know that Robin is in the hospital. She has fluid on her lungs and heart again. According to her Facebook post they are treating her for Radiation Pneumonia. Lets lift her up in our prayers as she has been through so much, may the Lord heal her body and strengthen her spirit. 

Lord Jesus Christ, by your five wounds, which you bore for us on the cross, have mercy on this sick servant, heal Robin of all bodily illness, and cleanse her of all sin and spiritual infirmity. Restore her to full health, that she may serve you with a grateful heart. Amen.

Council Agenda September 2026

 Brothers, we are going to be busy the next couple of months. We have a Senior fair that we are cooking at, Ministry Fair we are serving breakfast,  3 Fish Fries, Tootsie Roll Drive, Coats for Kids, and John will have a ramp/ deck to build. 

This Friday is the Senior Fair. We were asked to cook hamburgers for it, this will be a great opportunity to advertise our fish fries, and other activities that we do.  I will have my grill there but we will need a couple more, and about 5 guys to help cook and run food. If you can make it please let me know, I know a couple of you said that you could help at the meeting but as of right now I have not had anyone get back to me on helping with this. 

September 8th will be our monthly meeting, only one week away. 

Our first fish fry date is September 11, it will be for the TLC program. We will be giving all active and former members of the military a free meal that night. Moving forward will start serving at 4:30pm and will end at 6:30pm, our last few fish fries this window of time has seemed to be the busiest.  There is also a football game that night so hopefully this will help customers that are going to it. 

September 13 Holy Trinity will hold a Ministry Fair in the Hall after 10:30 Mass, we are going to be cooking breakfast for the Parish. We will also have a table setup for anyone that might be interested in joining the Knights of Columbus. This event will highlight all the things that go on at Holy Trinity and will hopefully be a great tool for people who have thought about being more involved but weren't sure where to start. 

October 2, we will have the first of two fish fries for our council again we will start serving at 4:30pm ending at 6:30pm. 

October 10 and 11, we will have the Tootsie Roll Drive going on, I will have sign up for that at the meeting next Tuesday. 

October 23, we have our second fish fry to support our council, 4:30pm - 6:30pm.

October 24, will be Marshfield's Coats for Kids distribution. 

Brothers, we are going to be busy, help out wherever you can. I will see you all next week at the meeting.

August Council Meeting

 

Brothers, our monthly meeting is tomorrow night, I look forward to seeing you all there. Adoration and Confessions start at 5 PM with Mass at 6 PM. The meeting will follow at 7 PM. I have attached a copy of the agenda for the meeting. 

There are several events coming up, please participate and help where you can. Even if you can't stay long at an event, just stopping by to visit and give support to what we are doing is great and makes our council stronger. 

Dads, we have two of the best opportunities coming up in October to bring your kids out with you as we help those in need.  One is the Tootsie Roll Drive, it is a great time for young kids to come out and be involved. I love making this a competition with my kids to see who can hand out more tootsie rolls. The second is for slightly older kids and that is the Coats for Kids drives. The feeling you get when a kid finds that coat that makes their eyes light up is truly amazing. Our youth are awesome at helping the kids find those special coats as they connect on a different level, so please don't be afraid to bring your kids to help.

- July was a whirlwind, thank you to everyone that helped with all we were involved with.

- There were several knights at the Ice Cream Social, thank you to all who came out and

supported Conway.

- We have several events the next few months, please plan to help and invite other Catholic

men who you think would make a great knight.

- I have two different raffle opportunities for everyone. One is from Coats for Kids it is a

chance to win a gun. The second is from Special Olympics and it is a chance to win a new

truck. Those and info on Amendment 3 and college scholarships on back table, along with a

Catholic Charities newsletter.

- “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance, where did it come from?

- I have ordered more tootsie rolls and will be ordering the Roses for Life.

and Insurance Agent report will be given if present.

New Business

 Fish Fry dates 9/11, 10/9, and 10/23. Move the times to 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. We need to

get new banner? Military appreciation proposal on 9/11.

 Baby Bottle Blast Money and how we divide it up.

 Marshfield Early Learning Center asked for a donation to go for

 Donation for the Indian Seminarians and do we want to sponsor another local Seminarian?
