Camp-Re-New-All in Conway

Good evening brothers,

As you are aware from our last meeting, we have been asked to help in cooking hot dogs and beans for the dedication of the relocation of Camp-Re-New-All in Conway.

Deacon Fritz is asking for our councils, Trinity and Pope St. Pius X of Lebanon,  to help cook hot dogs and serve baked beans at the open house on Saturday, October 1.  Dinner will be served at 5:30.  We are planning to set up around 4:15.  Jerry Nehl says he has a grill that cooks 200 hot dogs, and we are looking to feed around 150-200 people. The Lebanon council will be providing the baked beans.   Deacon Fritz also mentioned that Bishop Rice will be there, too.   Again, we plan to arrive at the camp around 4:15.  This will allow us to set up and start cooking.  Jerry and I made a trip out to the Retreat Center and met with Deacon Mark to get a feel for the layout of the land.  From Marshfield, it is 24 miles and is easy to find.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.  My cell phone is 417-880-7444 or respond to this email.  Thank you brothers and enjoy this wonderful weather!

YBiC,
Gary

Prayer Request

Good evening brother Knights and families. I was asked to send a prayer email out and ask you all to pray for a Conway parishioner, Thelma Dully.
Thelma is struggling with some pain caused by some recent medical issues and is waiting on further test results to clarify her diagnosis.
Some of the pain she  experiencing is physical but some of it is emotional which causes her to feel frightened.
Many of us have witnessed this type of emotional pain of others and know that a simple gesture of a smile, a hug, or letting them know we are praying for them can make all the difference in the world. Please join me in praying for all people suffering from all sorts of pain and emotions, especially Thelma.

May God Bless you all.

YBIC David Kandlbinder

Prayer for the Sick

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

You can register using the QR Code or going to www.dioscg.org/ec-events

Thanks,

Also, I want to thank all Knights who made our 30th Anniversary a success.  It was great to see family and friends in celebrating our fraternal order's founding charter of 30 years.  Thank you Jerry Nehl for supplying the meat and explaining the history of Trinity Council.  Thank you David Kandlbinder in presenting the Star Council Award to our former Grand Knight, Mike Weigand.  Mike Weigand, great job in explaining the strength of our council is the service to our community!  Also, I would like to thank Laura Vinehout for her assistance in setting up the hall.  Finally, Trinity Council, here's to our next 30 years and may they be fruitful and bountiful in the eyes of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Are you covered

    What is the Catholic Difference?

Dear Brother Daniel,
Lots of things have changed in the last couple years. What hasn’t changed is that your Knights of Columbus field agent is here to meet your shifting needs.

What’s happened since the last time you met with him? Have you and your wife welcomed a new child into your family? Have your kids graduated and moved out? Have you or your wife retired or started planning for retirement?

Sometimes when circumstances change, plans need to change too. Your field agent can meet with you to ensure that you and your family remain protected and that your dreams are secure. He will do this through a custom and complimentary financial needs analysis.

This needs analysis is free and only takes about an hour. You and your spouse will meet with your field agent to discuss specifics and to piece together a comprehensive picture of your situation. You’ll identify any gaps and have a better sense of what you can do to address them.

Again, this financial needs analysis is a free tool for you as a brother Knight. You don’t have to have existing insurance with us to take advantage of this tool and you’re under no obligation to purchase coverage.

So what do you need to do to assess your situation? Contact your agent today and schedule an appointment. Let your Knights of Columbus field agent, your brother Knight, be your compass as you navigate the uncertainty of today’s financial tides.

Life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance and disability income insurance products are offered through Knights of Columbus, One Columbus Plaza, New Haven, CT 06510 1-800-380-9995. For costs, terms, conditions, and complete details regarding these products, please contact your agent or the Knights of Columbus. Products may vary by state.

Prayer

Good evening brothers,

I would like to pass along the following email I have received from Knightline pertaining to Saint Teresa of Calcultta.

"Today is both the feast day of St. Teresa of Calcutta and the 25th anniversary of her death. Learn more about this spiritual giant of the 20th century — and the Order’s new feature-length documentary about her, Mother Teresa: No Greater Love — in this issue of Knightline. For more information and to purchase tickets to the film — showing in more than 900 theaters in the U.S. on Oct. 3 and 4 — visit motherteresamovie.com"

Also, I would like to share with you my morning commute to work. If you would like to send me the name of a family member, friend, or anything that needs prayer, please send me your request and I will include it in my morning prayer as I drive to work.

Last, I will be sending an itinerary of our upcoming meeting on Tuesday, September 13.  As I have always said, thank you for all that you do for our community and beyond.

"In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus"  1 Thessalonian 5:18

Have a blessed evening,

YBiC   Gary

Fraternal Survey

    What is the Catholic Difference?

Dear Brother
Soon — if you haven't already! — you will receive the 2022 fraternal survey in the mail. This survey, unrelated to the similarly named Council Fraternal Survey, is designed to help you update the Supreme Council on your information and circumstances each year.

Once we get the results of your annual survey, we’ll be better able to advise you of member benefits relevant to you — benefits you may not be receiving today.

Here’s what it will look like:

Please take the time to fill it out, mail it back to us (or submit it online) and let us know what’s new with you.

Blessed Michael McGivney founded our Order in part to help protect Catholic families. You and your family deserve the opportunity to take advantage of all of the exclusive benefits that come with being a Knight of Columbus.

We look forward to hearing from you!

“Mother Teresa taught us that there are no expendable people. Everyone
we encounter is made in the image of God. So, when she was feeding the
hungry or holding the hands of someone as they lay dying, she was
treating them as she would the most important person in her life, Jesus
Christ himself.” - Supreme Knight Patrick E. Kelly
