Help Wanted Saturday Sept 30th

Brothers,

 Tomorrow is the Sleep in Heavenly Peace bed build. They are needing more helpers, the plan is to build 50 beds. Location is Youngs Shopping center parking lot, this is the lot that they do the farmers market next to O'Reilly auto parts. Time is 8:30am to noon.

Hello Brothers,

Don Broyles is not doing well. Please pray for him!

Don has been admitted to Mercy hospital in Springfield. He is fighting several things. He has pneumonia, a UTI, and severe sepsis. Wednesday afternoon he was experiencing diarrhea, and then he woke up with a fever yesterday. He was weak and hallucinating so we called 911 and got him to the ER. Don will be there for several days. 
The Room Number is 3D 3253 bed 1.

Help Wanted

Brother Knights, our assistance has been requested for this Saturday. Jabe Moore's Memorial golf tournament this Saturday September 16th, at Whispering Oaks Golf Course here in Marshfield. Jabe unexpectedly passed this summer. His wife Nikki has asked that us Knights help this Saturday at the tournament with parking cars. There will be two shifts times as follows.

Shift 1 is 7:30am to 9am

Shift 2 is 12pm to 2:30pm 

They have also asked if we could help serve food at the memorial lunch the time for that is 12pm to 2:30pm as well. 

We need at least 3 Knights at each shift for parking and 3 for the food. If you can please consider helping even if it is for only one shift. If you can help and plan to please respond to this email or shoot me a text so I can let Nikki know of we need other help. Thanks in advance. 

John Tieskotter is also going to be cutting some limbs over at Pat Shriner's house at 9:30am Saturday. He could use help cutting  and moving limbs. The address for this is 322 N Walnut St. Marshfield MO. 

Rosary

Good morning, Brother Knights, I spoke with Carrie Smith this morning about the Rosary on the square. I found out I was wrong the Coast to Coast Rosary is not the one that we pray on the square but the Rosary Rallies which happens to be Oct. 14th this year. Carrie is going to contact the county about us using the square that day. She asked me to find some Knights that will help with this. 

Please change the date on your calanders from Oct. 7th to Oct 14th I believe we always do this at 12 noon. Sorry for any confusion.

 We have tootsie rolls that day as well so make sure if you are helping with the rally you are not scheduled to be handing tootsie rolls out at the same time.

Fraternal Benefit Event

Brother Knights, I received this from our agent Seth Hampel, and wanted to forward it on to our council. I feel that this maybe a very valuable seminar with great information. Even if you don't have a child of your own that has special needs you may be able to help a family that does with this info.

Attached is a marketing flyer for the next Fraternal Benefit Event. I feel like this one could get a draw from the Parish so please try to market it in any way you can to try to draw in new members. Remember that we need 14 different members from the council to attend at least one of these events each year along with the marketing of the event to the Parish and to the council through email blasts. Next we have a few things coming up. 3 Sep 2023

Brother Knights, first off update on Tony McDaniel, I asked him tonight how recovery is going. He said he is doing great, he said there was an issue during surgery that extended his recovery time but he is hopeful that it will be shorter than the doctor originally said. 

Next we have a few things coming up.

1. This today, 9/2/2023 Paul and Sue Epperson will be receiving the Missouri Catholic Conference 2023 Citizen Recognition Award. Congratulations to both of them and a big thank you, for all they have done and continue to do.

2.Bishop Rice will be at Holy Trinity, as well today to celebrate Mass with us and then to present the award to Paul and Sue in the Hall, There will be a potluck after Mass, if you can please come please bring a dish and help celebrate with Paul and Sue.

3. Then on Sunday the 3rd, we are starting the Blessed Carlo Acutis Novena for Daisey Runyan's healing. If you can please sign up to lead it at adoration, Mike has sent a couple emails already. If you can't make it to adoration to lead the prayer please pray it on your own. 

4. I want to give a big thank you to Duane and Gary, as mentioned at the last meeting Duane had filed to receive a grant so we could buy a couple more fish fryers. Before the meeting they had been at the interview for the Grant. Duane informed us a few days later that we were approved for a grant that will cover one new fryer, which is fantastic. Thank you both for your time and work on getting this grant.

5. Holy Trinity is doing a new Picture Directory and during the last meeting we decided that the Knights will be doing the picture for it at our next meeting. Therefore, if you would like to be in the Knights group picture that will go in the directory please be at the Hall, after Mass on September 12th at 7pm for the monthly meeting. I would love to see everyone of you there for it. 

6. During the August meeting we also set a tentative date of 9/29/23 for a fish fry to benefit the Moore Family. We have since been informed that the PCCW is having their rummage sale that weekend so we will be finding a new date for the fish fry.
