October is the month of the Rosary

Brother Knights, 

Today is October 1st, and October is the month of the Rosary. Our Worth State Deputy is challenging the Auxiliaries and Councils in the state to say 1,000 rosaries this month for the Catholic Church in Missouri. He wants every Auxiliary and Council to participate by saying at least one rosary this month. Rosaries can be said before meetings, at COR groups, before Sunday Mass, during adoration, or in the members homes. Some Councils have run with this and have a rosary scheduled everyday this month.

This challenge will be coming out in the October Mariner. We kicked things off this morning with a rosary at the pilgrimage in Laurie. Councils and Auxiliaries will total and report the number of rosaries said and let me know so I can report those totals to Anthony Jansen, State Faith Director.

We have seen some challenges in our church and faith. Prayer, especially the rosary can be our most powerful response.
