Nora Wolf's funeral mass will be Tuesday, January 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity in Marshfield.  The visitation will be at Fraker's on Monday, January 2 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  In case you are not aware, Nora's husband, Vernon, always ask us to fry up extra fish and he makes a nice donation to the council.   Please keep Vernon and his family in our prayers.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen. May almighty God bless us with his peace and strength, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Amen

Peace be with you,

Gary

Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

Dear Brothers,

I wish for you and your family a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.   For those traveling, may our heavenly Father, whose glory fills the whole creation, and whose presence we find wherever we go: preserve those who travel; surround them with your loving care; protect them from every danger; and bring them in safety to their journey's end; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Luke 2:10-14

10 The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

11 For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord.

12And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.”

13And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying:

14* “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

Help Wanted/work Completted

Steve Morcus and myself are going to Brenda Sitze at 0900 on Saturday December 3, 2022 to reposition her pallets at the back door of her trailer at 199 Pleasant Prairie Road, Lot 64 Marshfield, Mo. It should only take us about an hour to move them and add taller 4" X 4"s under the one closest to trailer.

Christmas Parade in Conway

Again, good evening,

In talking with Russell Rouse about the upcoming Christmas Parade in Conway, there are a few things he needs assistance with.

1.  This Saturday, December 3, he needs 2-3 brothers to help move the KofC ship out of the barn and clean it up.  No more than an hour, maybe 1 1/2 tops to clean it.  Russell said he will start at 12:00 p.m.

 2.  Howard is unable to pull the boat, so we are looking for another vehicle to pull the float.   If you have a vehicle that is capable of pulling the ship, please call, text or email me or Russell Rouse (Russell's phone number is 417-761-2878.  My number is 417-880-7444)

3.  On the day of the parade, Saturday, December 10, we will meet at Sacred Heart Church in Conway at 9:00 a.m.  This will give us time to hoist the sails, set the rigging and decorate the ship.  Just like the 4th of July parade, we will be handing out Tootsie Rolls to the crowd.  (You can walk the parade or stand in the ship)

Brothers, once the parade begins, it usually lasts no more than 45 minutes.  After we have completed the route,  we will sail back to the church  where we will  prepare the ship to travel back to Russell's barn.  I look forward to sharing this day with you and the people of Conway.

Advent Prayer
God of Love,
Your son, Jesus, is your greatest gift to us.
He is a sign of your love.
Help us walk in that love during the weeks of Advent,
As we wait and prepare for his coming.
We pray in the name of Jesus, our Savior.

YBiC,

Gary

Men's conference

Brothers,

In case you have not received this email, I am sending the schedule for the Men's Conference that will take place at Springfield Catholic High School.  This is the same place we heard Harrison Butker, the kicker for the KC Chiefs, speak.  This will be on theGK's December agenda.

Gary

Knights in Acton

Adoration @ Holy Trinity

Good evening brothers,

Brother Arehart brought to my attention  and would like for me to mention that Adoration begins Tuesday, November 29.  (Below you will find the schedule I copied from the church bulletin)
This is Holy Trinity's Schedule.  As soon as I receive Sacred Heart's, I will send a follow up email.
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 p.m.--6:00 p.m.
Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 a.m.--9:00 a.m. except for First Friday Adoration.  It will continue to follow the 9:00 a.m. mass with Benediction at 12:30 p.m.
There is a sign up sheet that can be found at the back of the church next to the baptismal font.

On the first Sunday of each month, beginning on December 4th, Holy Trinity will have the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 a.m.--10:00 a.m.

Also, Tuesday, November 29th at 7:00 p.m. is our Fraternal Benefit Night.  Here is the address to register:   www.TinyURL.com/HegnaFBN           (Thank you to Carol Coleman for placing the announcement in the bulletin.)

Last, I would like for you to say a prayer of healing for my cousin who was breast cancer free for 22 years.  At Sheila's last checkup, it was discovered that the cancer had returned.  Thank you and as I have previously mentioned in my emails, I will pray for you, family and/or friends as I pray the Holy Rosary to work.

Have a blessed week as well as a blessed Advent season,

YBIC,

Gary

Coatrs for Kids Success

Dear Brothers,

Coats for Kids was a huge success!  Our Deputy Grand Knight, Mike Weigand, reported that we gave 154  kid coats and 75 used coats.  I tried to capture the moment, but photos did not do justice to the smiles of the children. Thank you Knights for your time, ethusiasm, and willingness to go the extra mile on a Saturday.  Once again you have proved our theme of charity, fraternity, and unity.  I proud to be your Grand Knight.  Enjoy the rest of your week and may God bless and protect you.

YBiC,

Gary
