Are you covered

    What is the Catholic Difference?

Dear Brother Daniel,
Lots of things have changed in the last couple years. What hasn’t changed is that your Knights of Columbus field agent is here to meet your shifting needs.

What’s happened since the last time you met with him? Have you and your wife welcomed a new child into your family? Have your kids graduated and moved out? Have you or your wife retired or started planning for retirement?

Sometimes when circumstances change, plans need to change too. Your field agent can meet with you to ensure that you and your family remain protected and that your dreams are secure. He will do this through a custom and complimentary financial needs analysis.

This needs analysis is free and only takes about an hour. You and your spouse will meet with your field agent to discuss specifics and to piece together a comprehensive picture of your situation. You’ll identify any gaps and have a better sense of what you can do to address them.

Again, this financial needs analysis is a free tool for you as a brother Knight. You don’t have to have existing insurance with us to take advantage of this tool and you’re under no obligation to purchase coverage.

So what do you need to do to assess your situation? Contact your agent today and schedule an appointment. Let your Knights of Columbus field agent, your brother Knight, be your compass as you navigate the uncertainty of today’s financial tides.

Life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance and disability income insurance products are offered through Knights of Columbus, One Columbus Plaza, New Haven, CT 06510 1-800-380-9995. For costs, terms, conditions, and complete details regarding these products, please contact your agent or the Knights of Columbus. Products may vary by state.

Prayer

Good evening brothers,

I would like to pass along the following email I have received from Knightline pertaining to Saint Teresa of Calcultta.

"Today is both the feast day of St. Teresa of Calcutta and the 25th anniversary of her death. Learn more about this spiritual giant of the 20th century — and the Order’s new feature-length documentary about her, Mother Teresa: No Greater Love — in this issue of Knightline. For more information and to purchase tickets to the film — showing in more than 900 theaters in the U.S. on Oct. 3 and 4 — visit motherteresamovie.com"

Also, I would like to share with you my morning commute to work. If you would like to send me the name of a family member, friend, or anything that needs prayer, please send me your request and I will include it in my morning prayer as I drive to work.

Last, I will be sending an itinerary of our upcoming meeting on Tuesday, September 13.  As I have always said, thank you for all that you do for our community and beyond.

"In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus"  1 Thessalonian 5:18

Have a blessed evening,

YBiC   Gary

Fraternal Benefits Night

Brothers,

I would like to invite you to our first of two Fraternal Benefit Nights.  In order to earn the Founders Award, each council must complete  2 FBN during the Fraternal year, one in which is scheduled for September 15th at 7:30 pm.  The other opportunities will be announced at later dates. Seven members of our council and/or parish will need to register, participate, and take the survey at the end of the one-hour presentation.  You do not have to be a Knight of Columbus member to participate. These opportunities are open to everyone (man or woman) 18 and older.  Here is the registration link www.TinyURL.com/SlottFBN very simple to register.

If you have any questions, please contact me and I will do my best to answer them.

Thank you and have a great day!

Choices Pregnancy Center

Hello brothers,
I have received a message from Jennifer McCall and would like to relay her information.

Hello and I hope you are all having a fantastic day! I would like to extend an invitation to each of you to join me at a fundraising banquet benefitting Choices Pregnancy Center in Marshfield. Choices is a not for profit organization that provides pregnancy resources including parenting education, pregnancy and baby supplies like diapers and formula and so much more to support moms, dads and their children. Women and men in crisis pregnancies find the support they need to welcome their children into the world!
The banquet and meal are free. The guest speaker is Joe-El Godsey, President of Heartbeat International. You will be asked to discern a financial gift but not required to make one. I am the table host and need 9 people to fill the rest of the seats. The banquet will be held Sept. 27th at 6:00 pm at The Oasis Hotel and Convention Center.  I need to know by Friday or ASAP if you plan to attend so I can fill all the seats!  Thank you for considering!!!

I will register you so just let me know if you will attend: Jennifer McCall 417-880-4386.
You don't have to RSVP to the Banquet Coordinator, just to me.

Again, please contact Jennifer McCall if you would like to attend.   We are coming upon our busy months and I will be sending out another itenary of the upcoming events.  Look forward to our next meeting.

"And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8

Fraternal Survey

    What is the Catholic Difference?

Dear Brother
Soon — if you haven't already! — you will receive the 2022 fraternal survey in the mail. This survey, unrelated to the similarly named Council Fraternal Survey, is designed to help you update the Supreme Council on your information and circumstances each year.

Once we get the results of your annual survey, we’ll be better able to advise you of member benefits relevant to you — benefits you may not be receiving today.

Here’s what it will look like:

Please take the time to fill it out, mail it back to us (or submit it online) and let us know what’s new with you.

Blessed Michael McGivney founded our Order in part to help protect Catholic families. You and your family deserve the opportunity to take advantage of all of the exclusive benefits that come with being a Knight of Columbus.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Mother Teresa Movie

BUY TICKETS

“Mother Teresa taught us that there are no expendable people. Everyone
we encounter is made in the image of God. So, when she was feeding the
hungry or holding the hands of someone as they lay dying, she was
treating them as she would the most important person in her life, Jesus
Christ himself.” - Supreme Knight Patrick E. Kelly

Watch Trailer

Tickets are on sale now for MOTHER TERESA: NO GREATER LOVE, a
documentary produced by the Knights of Columbus that tells the inspirational
story of one of the world’s most revered saints, Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
The film will be released in select theaters nationwide Monday, Oct. 3, and
Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022. MOTHER TERESA: NO GREATER LOVE reveals
not just who Mother Teresa was, but how her singular vision to serve Christ in
the poor continues to be realized today through the religious order she
founded, the Missionaries of Charity.

Fathom Events will distribute the movie, which was filmed on five continents
and features unprecedented access to both institutional archives and the
apostolates of the Missionaries of Charity. This is far more than a
documentary film. It is at once a soaring tribute to a spiritual icon, a powerful
witness of authentic Christian charity and a guidepost for all who seek hope
in our turbulent times.

“This documentary challenges us to move out of our own petty self-
centeredness, to a greater generosity of spirit, towards God and our fellow
men. May it sensitize us to open our hearts and hands, to the sufferings of
our brothers and sisters far and near.” - Sr. M. Joseph, M.C., Missionaries of
Charity Superior General

Knights Gear

When families struggle to clothe their children with warm coats in the winter, Knights of Columbus councils help meet this basic need with Coats for Kids.

Since the invasion of Ukraine last February, the Order has been working with Knights of Columbus councils and Catholic communities in Poland and Ukraine to provide essential humanitarian relief for those displaced by war.
