Knights of Columbus Sends Oxygen to Covid-Hit Amazon Region

Responding to an urgent request from Archbishop Leonardo Steiner, O.F.M., archbishop of Manaus, Brazil, the Knights of Columbus sent more than $200,000 in concentrated oxygen and personal oxygen concentrator devices to the Amazon regions of Brazil and Peru, where Indigenous populations have been hit hard by the COVID-19 virus. READ MORE

 

KnightCast Premieres Feb. 25 at 8:00 p.m. EST

Members of the Knights of Columbus will soon have exclusive access to a new series of webcasts promoting personal development and faith formation. 

The first episode of KnightCast features Supreme Knight Carl Anderson sharing his personal reflections about significant events during his tenure over the past two decades. He gives a rare overview of working with three Popes, responding to national crises, battling COVID-19 through the Order’s Leave No Neighbor Behind initiative, and expanding our charitable work throughout the world. In this interview, Mr. Anderson also discusses our founder’s beatification, and he shares some of the many meaningful personal experiences of his term as Supreme Knight.

Father McGivney’s time as priest in New Haven, Conn. is well known. But no less important to his legacy are the years as a pastor in the town of Thomaston, beginning only a couple of years after founding the Knights of Columbus. READ MORE
