                                   Knights of Columbus Assembly 3196 is again participating in a

program on Saturday, December 14th , that will lay a wreath on

deceased Veterans graves at Arlington National Cemetery and

2,100 other locations across the nation. You can join the

Knights and sponsor a wreath for $17.00 by donation directly to

K of C, Assembly 3196, sends checks to

$5.00 of the cost of each Wreath donation goes to the Military Seminarian Sponsorship Fund.

The cutoff date for sponsoring a wreath is November 30TH, Online. 

Thank you for honoring and remembering our nation's veterans this Christmas.

Wreaths will placed on Veterans Gravestones at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Leonard Wood on December 14th at 12:00 PM, a ceremony and placement of Wreaths Follows. This is a great patriotic exercise for everyone , especially our children. Please make plans to attend.

Needed Prayers

Brother Knights,  I have fallen behind on sending out emails and I apologize for that. We have people in needed of prayers and people who just need company. 

Susie Greens brother Tom Halstead needs prayers. Some how he cut his leg and it got infected. They had to operate on it yesterday but he's doing better today.

 I recieved the following message about two weeks ago and put together an email but never got it sent out, I am sorry. It has to do with Dottie Mezzacapa. If any of you or a spouse would reach out to her I am sure it would mean a great deal.

"Just received a text from Carrie Smith that Dottie is lonely and would enjoy us reaching out. I was asked to pass along to prayer chain and PCCW. Dottie's address 985 Red Clover Rd and her cell phone 417-343-1058."

Brothers the Knights please continue pray for Father Francis and Bob Schultheis as well as they continue to heal and regain thier strength.  

God of all goodness, Look with mercy on all who suffer any kind of infirmity, sickness or injury, that they may be comforted. Let your hand of healing and protection be upon them. When they are fearful, ease their fear and anxieties. When they are afraid, give them strength and courage. When they feel alone, send them someone to listen and to care. When they are confused, provide reassurance and direction. When they are in pain, ease their suffering. When they despair, give them hope. May they experience your healing presence in the comfort of a caregiver’s calm gaze and tender touch. We ask this in your holy name.

Prayers for Steven Morcus and his Family

Steven Morcus messaged me today and said his family could use prayers right now. He found out this morning from his mom that his dad is dying. His dad has fought cancer and kidney issues for years. He is 84 now and his body just can't fight anymore. Steven and his family have gone to Ohio to be with his family. Please pray for him and his whole family during this time. 

Steven just messaged and said his dad passed around 9:30 tonight. Please pray for the repose of his soul. 

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Coats for kids 2024

 

KofC Benefit night

Hello Brothers,

 

KC Benefit night is at 6:30pm on Tuesday please register and come to hall at 6:15pm.  I will provide chili.   Then at 7:30pm will have our “regular” meeting.  I hope to see you both!!

 

Also Friday night is fish fry!!

Help for Fr Francis

Brother Knights, your help is greatly needed. I got the message  below from SK Gary Gray who received it from Linda.  If each of us spends some time helping Father it would mean a great deal to him, I am sure. 

"Could someone send out an email to see if we could get help for Father? I don’t know what else to do and I just now found out that Father is requesting help. “

“Father needs some help for a few days as he is coming home from the hospital this afternoon. I’m sure he would be more comfortable with a man there helping. Can you send out an email to the knights asap? Maybe someone for this evening and tomorrow and probably Sunday until he gets back on his feet. Steve Ciulla has been great to help but he cannot be there tomorrow. Could just be a few hours each if enough men could help. I don’t know how long it will take to get his strength back."

Brothers, Father came to us leaving his home and his family in India. We are his family here and as such we need to stepup and help him out the same as a close family member. 

One other thought, First Saturday Mass happens at 9am but has been canceled this time. How great would it be if everyone still showed up and we pray the Rosary at the garden.  I will be at the flower garden behind Father's house tomorrow at 9am anyone who can and wants to join please do.
