John F Garrett, 68, passed away peacefully on March 27,2021 at his home in Springfield, MO after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia. A rosary will be held at 5:00 PM with a visitation to follow from 5:30 PM -7:00 PM on Monday April 5, 2021 at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday April 6, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Springfield Catholic Schools, 2340 S. Eastgate, Springfield, MO 65809, www.scspk12.org, or to Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA.org).Brother Knight John Garrett passed away and we were asked by John’s wife Stephanie to contact the Knights to see if they would do the Rosery and have an honor guard.
His arrangements are:
Monday 5th at 5:00pm is scheduled for the Rosary at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home at 1947 E. Seminole
Monday 5th from 5:30pm – 7:00pm will be visitation.
Tuesday 6th mass at 10:00am at HT

Thanks to everyone that came and helped at the Drive Thru Fish Fry. It was so good to see all of you. The fish fry had a gross income of $1539, which is similar to a good turnout at a “regular” dine in fish fry.

Knights, their families and others are encouraged to pray the Blessed Michael McGivney Novena from March 20 until March 28, concluding the day before the 139th anniversary of the founding of the Knights of Columbus. The novena includes daily reflections about the life and priestly virtues of the Order’s founder, Father Michael J. McGivney. Each day includes petitions invoking his intercession and concludes with the prayer for his canonization.
