If anyone is available on Tuesday morning Please come to 2699 South Elm Road Marshfield, MO to help build a 5' ramp on the concrete porch about 8 AM. We will start the 30' ramp but only work till noon because of the heat.

5th Sunday

Brother Knights, tomorrow is a fifth Sunday, let's try to fill all the Liturgical Ministries this weekend. These Sundays are a great way for us Knights to serve God in the Mass. 

Tuesday, we are serving food at the Webster County Fair in the Dishman building. I believe the fair opens at 4pm I won't be able to be there till 5pm. If a few will come at 4pm and then more get there by 5:30 we should be in good shape. When you get to the fair let the people at the gate know you are working the kitchen and they will let you in for free. Tuesday is the only night we are working the fair because I didn't feel that we had enough help to be able to do Saturday.

We have the Fourth of July Parade on Thursday. In the past we usually try to get to the Hall around 8am then go over to the staging area at the Marshfield Elementary Schools. This year the float will go over at time to stage while most of us stay at the Hall in the AC till it's time for the parade to start.  Parade starts at 10am and with this being an election year it's going to be long parade. Jerry Nehl will have have sandwich material there for lunch after the parade. 

Merritt Mahan won the Baby Bottle Blast  Icon at Holy Trinity last week. I want to say thank you to everyone that helped with the blast. I hope we raised a great deal to help many people. 

Thank you Brothers for all that you do. We are have a busy week ahead but please pray for each other. We have Knights and Parish Family members facing with health issues that need prayers as well.

• We gave check for $1000 and got Springfield Cardinal tickets, handed out last weekend
• Southwest MO gave 50% of all coats in state, we were the #1 in our region
• Raising more funds for trailer (worried about rain)
• Supreme will be giving out 1 millionth coat this fall in Denver, CO, “golden coat”

Baseball Tickets

Hello Brothers,

 

I have Springfield Cardinal tickets for June 15 baseball game at 6:35pm.  The tickets need to be handed out this weekend and if you want to take your family take some tickets…. The tickets are free but if someone wants to donate to Coats for Kids that would be ok also.

 

I will not be in town this weekend, for those of you that went on ACTS retreat Ralph McGee is becoming a Deacon this weekend and I was invited.   So I need volunteers for each Mass.  I will leave tickets in vestibule.

Please send me an email if you will distribute and what Mass?

Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, Corpus Christi

Brothers, this weekend we celebrate The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, Corpus Christi. There is a Euchristic Procession after 10:30 Mass on Sunday, we need the Knights help with this. Holy Trinity has a very nice canopy that we carry above the Eucharist but we need Knights to help carry it. The Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life what better way to celebrate that then to display for others outside of our Church our faith, joy, and love for Jesus Christ. 

If you can help please let me know either in an email or tomorrow before Mass. Thank you. The two pictures below are from last year's procession at Holy Trinity.

Coats for Kids Update

Brother Knights, thank you to everyone who voted on the motion to give a thousand dollars to purchase Springfield Cardinals tickets for Coats for Kids.  The motion passed unanimously. 

I have about 5 people as of right now that have said they can work the Fair food on July 6th, if a couple more would commit I can let Shelia know we will do it. 

Thursday, June 6th there is a video Exemplification happening at Sacred Heart in Springfield at 7pm with registration starting at 6pm. There is a fee of $50 per candidate. This is the closest to Marshfield and Conway that I have seen an Exemplification. They dont happen in Springfield often, if you are interested in this let me or Mike know. I have not received my fourth degree yet so this may just be the right time. 

We have a Knights meeting coming up on Tuesday, June 11th. I will not be there as I will be out if state due to work, I hope several of you are able to attend.

There is a fifth Sunday this month, please if you can help do so. The Knights were not scheduled to do the Liturgical Ministries that Sunday but if you can help do. If you can trade weekends with a non-Knight, this is a great opportunity to lead by example as a brotherhood. If you don't have a ministry but still want to help we can always find a job for you. At 10:30 Mass you can always help hold the door and greet people, or you can help with the collection. 

Thank you to each and everyone of you for all that you do.  Please pray for each other and each others families. Pray for those who are  battling health issues and for thier caregivers. Pray for those who have no one to pray for them. Pray for the souls of all those who have passed recently and for thier families.
