Coats for Kids Update

Brother Knights, thank you to everyone who voted on the motion to give a thousand dollars to purchase Springfield Cardinals tickets for Coats for Kids.  The motion passed unanimously. 

I have about 5 people as of right now that have said they can work the Fair food on July 6th, if a couple more would commit I can let Shelia know we will do it. 

Thursday, June 6th there is a video Exemplification happening at Sacred Heart in Springfield at 7pm with registration starting at 6pm. There is a fee of $50 per candidate. This is the closest to Marshfield and Conway that I have seen an Exemplification. They dont happen in Springfield often, if you are interested in this let me or Mike know. I have not received my fourth degree yet so this may just be the right time. 

We have a Knights meeting coming up on Tuesday, June 11th. I will not be there as I will be out if state due to work, I hope several of you are able to attend.

There is a fifth Sunday this month, please if you can help do so. The Knights were not scheduled to do the Liturgical Ministries that Sunday but if you can help do. If you can trade weekends with a non-Knight, this is a great opportunity to lead by example as a brotherhood. If you don't have a ministry but still want to help we can always find a job for you. At 10:30 Mass you can always help hold the door and greet people, or you can help with the collection. 

Thank you to each and everyone of you for all that you do.  Please pray for each other and each others families. Pray for those who are  battling health issues and for thier caregivers. Pray for those who have no one to pray for them. Pray for the souls of all those who have passed recently and for thier families.

Coats for kids

Brother Knights, we got notice that the Greater Ozarks Chapter of Knights of Columbus have tickets for the Springfield Cardinals game to raise money for Coats for Kids. The last year or two we have bought a thousand dollars' worth of tickets. The meeting to discuss Coats for Kids distribution and to get tickets is this upcoming weekend on June 2nd at 6pm at the Catholic Center in Springfield. This means we need to do a vote to spend the thousand dollars to get tickets.

GK Mike Weigand, FS Matt Wingo and I discussed doing an email vote due to the late notice. All that are in favor please reply back yes or aye, and all those opposed reply no or nay. 

We may want to do something more later on to help support this cause. Usually, we try to cover the bulk of the cost of what we give out, which if you remember we gave out more coats than Springfield did last year at a little over 200 coats. Which is awesome, but it means that even at a thousand dollars we are still far from covering the cost of those coats. This is a great issue as it means we made a difference in many lives. I want to thank everyone involved in promoting and helping in these efforts.

Help Wanted

Brother Knights, Sheila has asked if we would be willing to serve food at the Webster County Fair on both Tuesday, July 2nd and Saturday, July 6th. We already agreed to help with the one on July 2nd.  Apparently whoever was supposed to do it on the 6th backed out and she is trying to get it covered. 

I need to know is anyone interested in helping Saturday night and if so who. I don't mind to tell her no but I don't want to say yes and no one show up. Please reply to this email, text me, or call and let me know if you can help and want to do both nights. Thank you.

Baby Bottle Blast

Brothers, this Sunday is Mother's day, which as many of you know is the kick off to the Baby Bottle Blast. We will need members to help hand out bottles after Masses this weekend. We will need a Knight at each Mass to give a short talk about the Blast. It you can do the speech please let me know.

Prayers for tim Casey

Hello Brothers,

 

Please pray for Tim Casey as he recently had hip surgery was released but he is back in hospital due to coughing up blood.  Relating to his esophagus.

Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Tim, for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with his bodily health restored, he may give thanks to Thee in Thy church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You seeking Your divine intervention against sickness.

Lord, I ask that You pour out Your healing power upon me and restore me to full health, in Jesus Name. 

I rebuke this sickness right now and do not accept it as Your will.

May Your Holy Spirit bring comfort, peace, and strength to my weary souls.

I pray that You may touch my mind and body, and bring about a miraculous healing. 

Lord, You are the Great Physician, and I believe in Your power to heal every sickness and disease.

Please grant me relief from pain, restoration of strength, and a complete recovery.

I ask for Your healing touch upon my minds and heart.

Bring clarity to my thoughts, peace to their troubled soul, and healing to any emotional wounds. 

You are the God of peace and restoration, and I trust in Your ability to bring wholeness to my life.

I also lift up my family and friends.

Grant them the strength and endurance they need to support and care for me.

Surround me with Your love and peace, and provide me with the resources and help I require during this challenging time.
